⟡  1979-1983: Department of Physics, Fuyang Normal College (Anhui Province) for Bachelor Degree.

⟡  1983-1986: Department of Physics, Dalian University of Technology for Master Degree.

⟡  1988 – 1991: Department of Physics, Dalian University of Technology, Assistant Professor

⟡  1991 – 1994: Department of Physics, Dalian University of Technology, Associate Professor

⟡  1994 – Present: Department of Physics, Dalian University of Technology, Professor

⟡  1995.07-1995.12: Visiting Professor in University of Waterloo, Canada.

⟡  1997.09-1997.12: Visiting Professor in University of Waterloo, Canada.

⟡  2001 – present: Special Professorship of Cheung Kong Scholars Program rewarded by The Ministry of Education, P. R. China.

    * Research Areas

⟡  Low-pressure plasma physics, including theories and experiments for radio-frequency capacitively coupled plasma (CCP) and inductively coupled plasma (ICP), such as the plasma transports, the plasma sheaths and interactions of plasmas with solids.

⟡  Large power RF Negative Hydrogen Ion Source: Simulations and Experiments.  

⟡  Dusty plasma physics, including: formation of dust crystals, dust-acoustic waves, and nonlinear interactions of dust particles with radio-frequency plasma sheaths et al.

⟡  Magnetic confinement fusion plasma physics, including simulations of neutral beam heating and interactions of edge plasmas with first-wall materials.

⟡  Interactions of ion beams with matter, including: ion scattering on solid surfaces, Coulomb explosions and energy losses of swift ion clusters in solids, and charged particles channeled in nanotubes.

⟡  Interactions of electromagnetic waves with nanotubes and photonic crystals.
