The PSEG group at Dalian University of Technology (DUT), the AEPT group at the Ruhr-University Bochum (RUB, https://www.aept.ruhr-uni-bochum.de/en/), and the plasma technology group at Wigner Research Centre for Physics secured a Major International Joint Research Project funded by the National Science Foundation of China, in September 2020. This is a bi-lateral exchange program in low-temperature plasma science and provides funding for exchange visits of plasma scientists (students, Ph.D. candidates, postdocs, professors) from the three groups from January 2021 for 5 years, which is expected to be a great opportunity to strengthen the collaboration of these three research groups in low-temperature plasma science, especially to provide a unique opportunity to our students to get international research experience.
The following exchange visits to RUB/DUT can be funded:
1. Short-term visit (1-2 weeks, usually for professors and postdocs): round-trip travel expenses (economy class), free apartment or hotel, and daily allowance
2. Long-term visit (3 months, usually for students and Ph.D. candidates ): round-trip travel expenses (economy class), free accommodation, monthly living allowance
